Palmdale School of Dance is a project that represents 35 years of dedication to the art of dance, shaped by extensive academic, technical, and artistic preparation. Founded with the purpose of giving back, the school was created to contribute meaningfully to the cultural and artistic life of Palmdale, California.
Our approach to dance education is rooted in discipline, creativity, and respect for individual development. We believe dance is not only about mastering technique, but also about cultivating confidence, self-expression, and a deep connection between body and mind. Each class is thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of every age and level, supporting healthy physical development and a genuine love for movement.
At Palmdale School of Dance, we prioritize safe and effective training, combining classical foundations with contemporary teaching methods. Our programs encourage artistic growth while fostering responsibility, perseverance, and joy in the learning process.

“Dance is a way of seeing the world”
Ivone Morales is a seasoned dance professional whose career spans more than three decades of teaching, performance, choreography, and academic inquiry. Her work is rooted in a profound understanding of dance as a discipline that shapes not only technical skill, but also character, creativity, and intellectual growth.
She earned a Master’s Degree in Dance Research from the National Center for Dance Research, Documentation, and Information José Limón (CENIDI Danza), receiving Honorable Mention for academic excellence. In addition, Ivone holds a Master’s Degree in Digital Marketing and E-Commerce, allowing her to connect artistic practice with contemporary communication and educational innovation. Her academic background also includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, completed with distinction at the Iberoamerican University of Northwestern Mexico, and professional dance studies at the Gloria Campobello School of Dance.
Ivone is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education focused on Dance, expanding her research on pedagogy, learning processes, and the role of movement in comprehensive education. She is also a certified Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) instructor, integrating scientifically based conditioning methods that support strength development, alignment, coordination, and dancer wellness.
Her artistic training encompasses classical ballet, contemporary dance, Spanish dance, and jazz, with advanced studies completed in Madrid, Spain. As a performer, Ivone has collaborated with distinguished dance companies and cultural institutions throughout the Americas and Europe, appearing in festivals, theaters, and multidisciplinary productions.
As an educator, Ivone has worked with students ranging from early childhood to higher education, designing programs that emphasize healthy technique, expressive movement, musical awareness, and confidence. Her teaching approach balances structure with creativity, encouraging dancers to develop both technical precision and artistic voice.
Beyond the studio, Ivone is actively involved in community-based and educational projects that promote access to the arts. She is a member of the International Dance Council (CID–UNESCO) and the National Network of Dance Researchers, reflecting her ongoing commitment to artistic excellence and educational leadership.
